As a veteran of the industry for 20+ years, I started my career making snowboarding films out of Vail, Colorado in the mid 1990s. After traveling the world for 5 years, following the snow, I landed in San Francisco and immediately found myself immersed in both the commercial and documentary worlds.
In addition to directing my own feature length documentary, I began collaborating commercially as an editor with agencies such as Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, DDB, McCann Erickson, Mekanism, 72 and Sunny, Eleven, Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, and Evolution Bureau. I have worked out of editorial shops such as Red Car, Mad River Post, Pomegranit, Phoenix, Radium, Ntropic. Bonfire, Avocados and Coconuts, and Umlaut.
Since that time I have worked on 100s of commercials for clients such as Comcast, Apple, Hyundai, Sprint, Electronic Arts, Ebay, Chevy, Google, NBA, Yahoo, The Weather Channel, T-Mobile, and Marvel. I have cut game trailers for Electronic Arts and have worked on both short form and long form documentaries, including just recently the Rouge One documentary for LucasFilm.
My work has been seen on every device from the Times Square Billboard in New York City to the phone in your hand.
My most challenging project to date was, living in a yurt on the South Fork of the American River for nine months, editing the environmental documentary, “full circle; a life story of Eustace Conway” entirely with the use of solar power. The solar project was entitled "Sunwise".
I currently spend my days (and nights) staring at a screen (I’m trying to do better - the farming gets me outside). I proudly reside in Oakland, California with my wife, three children, and my dog Parker.
